The aim of the site optimization process is to increase the number of organic visits to the site by improving site ranking in Google Search results. Site content is adapted to certain SEO rules. In addition, there are certain procedures to follow outside the site itself, in order to help the site eventually obtain the best search results ranking possible for specific keywords. The keywords are chosen according to the client’s field of work and, also, according to the keyword occurrence in searches.

SEO experts have different approaches to the optimization process and every team has its own methods, but the essence is the same. However, when it comes to the aim of optimization, different teams engaged in it have different approaches from the very start. While some try to strengthen the position of their client’s site for only one or two phrases, others try to optimize it for as many phrases as possible.

Search Engine Optimization for Only One Phrase

The aim of the first method mentioned above is to “push” the site to the first place in Google Search for the primary phrase. For example, the site of a client who owns a flower shop is optimized for the phrase “flower shop” and the aim is to obtain one of the first positions in search results. Once that task is fulfilled, the client is usually completely satisfied, without understanding the essence of the optimization process.

Website Optimization for All Relevant Phrases

The second approach is far more demanding for the team engaged in the site optimization process. It takes much more time and effort to get to the desired results, but that is the reason why those results are far better. This is the approach WBS uses. The aim of this approach is to improve the site position for all relevant keywords related to our client’s business, through the optimization process. Therefore, those keywords for a flower shop would also be: “floral arrangements”, “bouquets”, “room flowers”, “balcony flowers”, “pot flowers” and so on.

Why is this a better way? Because it drastically improves the number of visitors to a site through organic searches and because the site is visible to more people for a number of phrases, instead of just one. We can’t ignore all those potential buyers who are looking for specific things, such as balcony flowers, or a floral arrangement.

The effects of the SEO campaign are usually monitored with the help of Google Analytics, that is, through the number of visits coming from Google. Ultimately, the effects of the SEO campaign should be manifested in the client’s business. If the client doesn’t get any calls or orders from their site, it means that the site doesn’t have a good ranking, or that the appropriate phrases haven’t been chosen.
